Rex H. Wooldridge
After graduating from College-Hi I spent 4 years at Washington & Lee University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Math, 1 year at Washington University in St. Louis starting architecture school, and my final 3 years at Oklahoma University graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture. I was commissioned into the Army through ROTC after graduating from OU, and then spent the next 2 years at Ft. Gordon, Ft. Sill, Ft, Hood and Viet Nam. I started my architectural career in Houston in November 1970 after leaving Viet Nam, working for a small firm for 2 ½ years, a larger firm for 5 ½ years and then helping start a new firm in 1978. During those beginning years I married my wife, Lisa, and we subsequently had 2 beautiful daughters, Christi (35) and Maggie (34).

Our daughters have been a delight. They both graduated from the High School of Performing and Visual Arts in Houston and also graduated from Washington & Lee University. Christi obtained a degree in Business and Maggie in Music. Christi worked for Dynegy, an energy company, for 4 years, obtained her MBA from Rice University, married her longtime fiancé, Jeff Megow from Houston, and worked for Reliant Energy for 5 years before becoming a mommy. Christi and Jeff adopted beautiful Grace at the end of January 2010. She was born on January 29 during the horrific snow storm in Oklahoma City. She is the light of our lives.

After graduating from Washington & Lee, Maggie spent 4 years at the University of Texas where she received a Masters in Architecture. She spent 2 ½ years working in Atlanta and then moved back to Houston where she has been working for my firm for the past 5 years. She married Bruce Campbell from Memphis, TN in September 2009 and they are expecting their first baby in September of this year. Lisa and I are very fortunate to have both daughters living in Houston 15 minutes from our home. We try to stay out of their way, giving them a chance to grow. Lisa and I have had a very blessed life together with 2 healthy children.

Our firm, Kendall-Heaton Associates blossomed from a 3-man firm into an 85-man firm and now stands at 65 during this current economic downturn.
