Obituary

Mary Ann Todd Hawkins, 62, of Bartlesville, died May 27, 2005 at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Her Memorial services were held at 10 AM the following Saturday at Stumpff.

The Mary Todd Hawkins Memorial Fund was established to the Bartlesville Area History Museum.

Mary was born on March 8, 1942 at Bartlesville to Harold Albert Todd and Mildred Viola Todd. She grew up and received her education at Bartlesville graduating in 1960. She attended college at Coffeyville for two years until returning to Bartlesville. She was married to Ralph Vaughan on August 11, 1961 in Bartlesville. She was later married to Richard Hawkins and they were married for four years until his death in 1993. Mrs Hawkins was employed with Phillips Petroleum in the early 1960's and remained in their employment until her retirement from the Treasury Department in the late 1980's. She was the owner/operator of the Hitchin' Post Bar in Dewey since 1997. Mary was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Jane Phillips Society.

Mrs. Hawkins is survived by one daughter, Annette Kayler and her husband, Rick of Belen, New Mexico, one son, Daniel Vaughan of Jennings, her mother, Mildred Todd of Bartlesville, two brothers, Tom Todd of Broken Arrow and Joe Todd of Bartlesville, and two grandchildren.
