After graduating from Col-Hi I spent 3 years in the Navy fighting the Cold War. . . we won! I graduated from Pasadena City College in '65 and then on to UCLA, graduatiing in '67. . .another year at UCLA and graduated in '68. My wife, Janie, and I moved to Kansas then Colorado for teaching and I received a Masters at the University of Northern Colorado. I spent the next 11 years as a school principal in Nebraska. After education business started to go downhill I went to work for AT&T then Northwestern Bell in strategic marketing. I resigned after 16 years and decided to write books and have fun.

Janie and I have been married for 24 years and have 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 Golden Retrievers. I have done a lot of tutoring in visual perception training, remedial reading, and woodcarving for the last 30 years. I also volunteer for Golden Retriever Rescue in Nebraska. We travel as much as possible, drink wine as much as possible, go to parties and enjoy life in the slow lane. We try not to look back and have very few regrets.
