Nancy Taylor Bordwine

Nancy Anita Taylor Bordwine was born on February 10, 1942 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Jack Oklahoma and Bessie Inez (Hicks) Taylor. She passed away on July 1, 2017 in Wellston at the age of 75 years.

Nancy grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and met her husband, James, while attending high school. She ran the family farm and showed cattle for over 30 years alongside her husband. After moving to Wellston, Nancy worked as a seamstress in Chandler. In 2003 they moved to Roff and began raising and training Percheron horses to pull carts and wagons. Nancy enjoyed riding them in parades. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs. She enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 59 years, James Bordwine; daughter, Karen Branham; grandson, Jeremy Bordwine; brother, Gary Taylor. Survivors include her son, James Bordwine and his girlfriend, Brenda Anderson of Calvin, Oklahoma; daughter, Vicki and her husband, Roland Magar of Wellston; (5) grandchildren, Kisha Shelton, Chelsey Branham, Jameson Magar, Jacob Magar, Bonita Deacom; (2) great-grandchildren, Symphony Shelton, Rhys Shelton; along with other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel with interment following at the Rossville Cemetery.
