I worked many years for my second husband, Jim, who delivered many babies in Bartlesville over the years, some of them to our classmates. As an adult I went back to school at Wesleyan College and received a degree in Education becoming a teacher. I have 3 lovely daughters, Kim (48), Keven (46) and Crissy (33). They have given me 3 marvelous grandchildren: Clayton (11), Alex (10) and Hayden (6). I returned to teaching after retiring. It gives me a purpose, a way to keep current with young people, technology and a way to remain involved socially. I love it!! Today, while I was working with a four year old child, I was asked why I was so old. He proceeded to tell me I was the oldest person he had ever seen. My days are full, I suppose SO full that I didn't even realize so many years have passed and the 50th reunion is truly upon us. I spend my days teaching reading to children with difficulties and trying to figure out why so many have problems. There are lots of humorous moments interspersed with every lesson. That is what keeps me going. |

My husband, Jim, has Alzheimer's and the grand boys we adopted are almost 7 and 11. Instead of vacations, parties and get-togethers with friends, I enjoy baseball games, scouts, swimming and other parents who are willing to become quick friends. Our home life is definitelly an adventure and sometimes a challenge, but we've adapted and know all too soon we will have to adapt again. That's life. I'm blessed with good health myself and pray every day for strength, stamina and a good night's rest.
My high school memories are all wonderful. I loved every moment. The classes I took, the teachers that taught, sporting and social events, but most of all the frie ds. I absolutely love to dance. Unfortunately dancing has stopped and friends have scattered but I look forward to seeing and renewing days of long ago.
