Mr. Thomas Dean Shaw, 71, of Bartlesville, died peacefully at his home at 1:17 A.M. on Thursday, March 20, 2014.
Private family services will be held and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that those who wish make donations to the charity of the donor's choice .
Mr. Shaw was born at Chautauqua, Kansas on September 30, 1942 the son of Ray and Sarah (Dunn) Shaw. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville graduating with the largest graduating class at that time from College High School in 1960. He attended NEO at Miami for a short time until returning to Bartlesville to begin his career with Reda Pump.

He entered the U.S. Army and served for 18 months in the early 1960's, including a tour of duty in Korea. Following his Honorable Discharge he returned to Bartlesville and was again employed with Reda Pump. He worked with the company for over 42 years, retiring from Schlumberger as the machine shop superintendent in 2002. Mr. Shaw was married to Vickie Jean (Weber) Chaney on May 20, 2002 at Las Vegas, Nevada and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. He loved to hunt and play golf.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife Vickie Shaw of Bartlesville, two sons, Thomas Dean Shaw II & wife Suzanne of Dixon, Missouri and Trey Jamieson Shaw of Bartlesville, one daughter, Sarisa Kay Munoz and husband Brandon of Corpus Christi, Texas, one brother, Robert Shaw of Bartlesville, three grandchildren, Conar Ray Shaw, Mariah K. Shaw and Dane Munoz and special friends, the Bill & Sue Armstrong family of Copan. Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Sarah Shaw and by two sisters, Doris and Joann.
