Memorial Services for Michael Lynn McCrory, 60,were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2003, in the Chapel, First Presbyterian Church, Reverend Robert Bogue officiating. Funeral arrangements and cremation were made under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home. |

McCrory was born on July 2, 1942, in Bartlesville, Okla., to Marie and C.W.L. McCrory, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Bartlesville attending Garfield, Central and College High schools, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He married and moved to Norman, where he attended the University of Oklahoma majoring in psychology. He and his wife had one son, Michael Scott. Mr. McCrory was a classical pianist and ardent reader, enjoying both throughout his life. He moved to California in 1968, and worked for a Bay Area firm as a carpenter. In 1984, during a brief hospital stay in San Jose, Mr. McCrory choked on a meal suffering a brain injury which affected his motor skills and memory. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2001. He spent those years with family and friends, and died peacefully.
Mr. McCrory is survived by his sister, Mrs. Nick V. (Terry Jean McCrory) Avtonomoff, of Tiburon, CA; his brother, Thomas L. McCrory, of Grove, Okla; his son Michael Scott, of Bartlesville, and three 7 grandchildren.
