George and Mary Mc Nellis were married April 14, 1971. He started practicing medcine in Leadville, Colorado where he also owned the historic Tabor Grand Hotel, built during the two year period of 1883 to 1885.
The couple had three children, James, George III, and Elizabeth.
In 1985 George moved his family to Anchor Point, Alaska wher he established his medical practice. Anchor Point is a small town on the Kenai Pennisula, close to the Kenai River and Cook Inlet. It was a great place for the family to enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling - a country of great beauty and truly the 'Last Frontier'

George moved to Stockton, California after he was divorced. It was here that he changed his |
|
|
practice to caring for the disabled, aged and homebound, and kids with down syndrome. He had a great compassion for his patients and this was truly a labor love, visiting his patients in their homes. He remarried and his new wife, Susan helped him with his housecalls. |
