Steven Victor Long, 50, a Bartlesville resident, died Saturday evening of injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Bartlesville.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stumpff Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Oscar Wilkie of Copan United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oglesby Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded by James H. Teel American Legion Post #105 and Masonic rites will be accorded by Bartlesville Masonic Lodge #284, under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.

Mr. Long was bom on Aug. 1,1942, at Bartlesville to Thurman Victor and Ardelia (Solomon] Long. He grew up in Oglesby and Bartlesville and graduated from College High School. He entered the U.S. Air Force where he served for eight years, serving in Spain and two tours of duty in Vietnam.

He married Zelda Lynn Scouten on Jan. 5. 1966. at Oklahoma City. Following his honorable discharge they made their home in Tulsa where he was employed as an electrician.

They moved to Bartlesville in the early 1970s and he was employed as an electrician for Holtz Electric. He was a member and past Worshipful Master of Bartlesville Masonic Lodge #284 AF & AM and in past years was active as a Shiner.

Survivors include his wife, Zelda Long, of the home: a son, Michael Victor and Lori D.Long, of Orange Park. Florida.; a daughter. Mrs. Nathan (Cindy) Tresner, of Copan; a brother, Bruce Long, of Bartlesville: 1 sister, Joyce Van Rocket, of Bartlesville; three grandchildren: Raymond Edward Tresher of Copan, Megan Fay Tresner of Copan and Erika Lynn Tresner of Copan; his mother·in-law, Alice V. Cherry of Minco; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dale and Paralea Scouten of Oklahoma City, Robert and Marylou Scouten of Lookeba, Earl Scouten of Minco and Keith and Virginia Scouten of Sapulpa.
