Charles "Sonny" Loeffelholz, 75, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville.
Sonny was born on February 10, 1942 to parents Lawrence and Della (Miller) Loeffelholz in Vinita, Oklahoma. He was raised in Vinita, and attended elementary school at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Later, the family relocated to Bartlesville, where Sonny attended College High School.

On January 28, 1961, Sonny married Gloria Postrach at St. John Church in Bartlesville. The couple made their home in Bartlesville, and later moved to rural Wann in 1971. The couple are members of Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Sonny worked for National Zinc Company in Bartlesville as the maintenance foreman for 32 years until retiring in 1996. Outside of work, Sonny ran cattle, ranched, and was a calf roper for many years. Sonny's passion in life was working with his horses and cattle. He enjoyed spending his time in the arena, working and training his horses. Many knew of his Yellow horse, that Sonny had trained for calf roping.
He is survived by his wife Gloria of the home; son Tim, and wife Donna of Wann; daughter Tina Smith, and husband Steve of Wann; sisters Mary Irene Woodall, and husband Chuck of Vinita, Oklahoma and Carolyn Sue Saunders of Miami, Oklahoma; four grandchildren Tara Stevens, and husband Michael of Bartlesville, Chad Loeffelholz, and wife Megan of Skiatook, Tanner Loeffelholz of Wann, and Ty Smith of Pittsburg, Kansas; one biological great granddaughter; Addilyn Trotter, and five step great granddaughters; Haley, Gracie, Chloie, Harlee, and M.J.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Larry Loeffelholz and Bob Loeffelholz.
