Grant: After a Chemical Engineering degree at OU, an MBA at University of Minnesota, and almost 25 years at 3M Company, I made a careeer change. Owning a small marketing business was exhilarating, exciting and exhausting. A decade later I retuurned to the technical world. I worked for a medical device start-up, Aequitron; for Nellcor Puritan Bennett; Mallinckrodt; Tyco and Medtronic. I recently retired from Robert Bosch Pharmaceutical Packaging. Along the way I’ve volunteered with our Boy Scout District, been active in our church and restored our 100 year-old house in St. Paul. I married Sue Swanson and we had 3 fine boys, Harry (43), Richard (41) and Michael (35). Check out the grandchildren when you read about Sue.. |

Sue: Virtually all my time since College High and OU has been enjoyed in Minnesota, plus 2 great years in Oregon. I taught school briefly, then, while our sons were young, did volunteer work through our church and the St. Paul Junior League. Later, I began a career with the Minnnesota Historical Society and retired from a museum management position 3 years ago. Our children live in Phoenix, AZ, Houston and Austin, TX so we’re often visiting there or hosting family gatherings here in the “North Country”. We are blessed with 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth (14), Alexander (12), Catherine (7), Jacob (7), Soffia (5), Matthew (3) and Marcilete (1). |
