Sharon (Englebert) Bullen

Sharon Lynn Bullen, 55. a former Bartlesville resident and wife of Thomas Ray Bullen, died at 10:22 p.m. Friday, August 30, 1996 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kan. of injuries sustained in a traffic accident near Salina, Kan.

Services were 11 a.m.Monday September 1, 1996 at the Oak Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pete Hyde of The Fargo United Methodist Church at Fargo officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bullen was born on March 31, 1941 at Bartlesville to Raymond D. and Thelma M. (Brock) Engelbert. She grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from College High School. She married Thomas Ray Bullen on Nov. 18, 1961 in Bartlesville. They made their home in various locations during Mr. Bullen's services with the United States Army. Following his discharge from the military, Mr. and Mrs. Bullen made their home in Tulsa for several years until returning to Bartlesville to make their home. Mr. Bullen was employed by TRW -Reda Pump and Mrs. Bullen was a licensed day care operator in her home for many years. She was also active as a homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Bullen moved to Colorado, Springs, CO in December 1995 to be houseparents of a supervised home. Mrs. Bullen was a member of the Oak Park United Methodist Church and in earlier years was active in the P.T.A. and other school activities.

Mrs. Bullen is survived by her husband, Thomas Ray; two sons, Michael David and his wife, Stephanie of Claremore and Christopher Thomas and his wife, Anna of Bartlesville; a foster son, Aaron Gouker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Fred Engelbert, of Claremore; two grandchildren, Aaron Michael and Jacob Mitchell, both of Bartlesville; a niece, a nephew, an aunt, an uncle, and several cousins, as well as her adopted farnily, Pete and Kay Hyde and their children, Matthew B. Hyde and Kelli Hyde of. Fargo. Mrs. Bullen was preceded In death by her parents.
