Ronnie Henry Dunkle

Mr. Rondall "Ronnie" Henry Dunkle SR., 73, of Copan, died at 2:49 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Dunkle were held at 10 AM on Friday, May 15, 2015 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott McAfee of the Cowboy Up Cowboy Church at Owasso officiating. Interment was at the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery where full military rites were accorded by the Ceremonial Detail of the James H Teel American Legion Post #105.

Mr. Dunkle was born in Bartlesville, OK on February 13, 1942 the son of Edgar Joseph and Betty Marie (Cobb) Dunkle. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville and attended College High School. He entered the United States Navy on January 26, 1960 and served on active duty until February 1963.

He was then employed by Rig Cementing until 1965 when he was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville.

He transferred with Phillips to Houston in 1980 and returned to Oklahoma following his retirement from Phillips in 1987.

Mr. Dunkle became active as an independent trucker from 1987 until 1996 when he was employed by Washington County District #1 until his second retirement in 2002. That year he began his employment as a security guard at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville until his retirement due to ill health in December of 2013.

Mr. Dunkle was married to Loretta Marie Johnson at Pawhuska, OK on May 28, 1962 and they would have celebrated 53 years on marriage this year. Mr Dunkle was active as a stock car driver at the Dewey Speedway and other area race tracks in the 1960's and has remained active in racing with his sons. He was very devoted to his family.

Mr. Dunkle is survived by his wife, Loretta Dunkle of the home, two sons, Ron Dunkle Jr. and wife Rebecca and Allen Dunkle and his wife Kelly all of Copan, three grandchildren, Garret Dunkle, Lauren Bone and her husband Jeremy and Merecedes Bible and her husband Phillip and two great grandchildren, Layton Bone and Ruby Bible, two brothers, Benny Dunkle and Larry Dunkle both of Bartlesville, two sisters, Carolyn Workman and husband George and Edda Ele and husband Lewis all of Bartlesville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Liston and a sister-in-law, Carol Ann Dunkle.
