C. E. "Gene" DeLapp, 62, husband of Frankie Louise (Harris) DeLapp, died at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the St John Medical Center, Tulsa Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturdy at the graveside in the Ramona Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Baker was the Officiant. Committal prayers and interment were directed by The Arnold Moore Funeral Service
He was born on February 4, 1942 in the rural Bartlesville community, southeast of town. He was the son of the late Orville Eugene and Felma Vay (Widener] DeLapp. Gene was reared and received his education in the Bartlesville community schools and was graduated with the Senior Class of 1960 from the Bartlesville College High School. He was employed by the Reda Pump Co. during the summers of his high school years. He and the former Frankie Louise Harris were united in marriage on June 28, 1963 at Ramona.
He continued his education at Northeastern State College where he graduated in 1965 with his Degree in Industrial Arts and Mathematics. He returned to his employment with the Reda Pump Co. in the Drafting Dept. and Engineering Dept. until his retirement in August of 1982. He was active in ranching and raising cattle on his property southeast of Bartlesville.
Gene was a member of the Ramona First Baptist Church and the Ramona Masonic Lodge #326 AF&AM where he served as a past Worshipful Master. A Thirty-Second A Degree Mason, he was a member of the Valley of Tulsa, Orient of Oklahoma Scottish Rite Bodies. He was also a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association.

Surviving are his wife, Frankie Louise (Harris) DeLapp, of the home; one son, Judge Curtis Lee DeLapp and his wife Lee Anne, Bartlesville; one daughter, Kristi Lynn DeLapp and her husband, Troy Lee Calhoon, rural Bartlesville; four grandchildren, Brandi Rachelle DeLapp, Tanner Lee DeLapp, Chandler Luke DeLapp and Anna Kate DeLapp; two sisters, Mrs. F. Xilon (Mary Christine) Cunningham, Greenville, Mississippi and Mrs. DeLacey (Louise Ann) Smith, rural Bartlesville, plus one uncle, two aunts, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
