Marletta (Cruzan) Walker
I was born in Champaign, IL and my parents moved us to New York City to live in the Bronx for a few years. ..Following that exciting time, that I was too young to remember well, they moved us to Bartlesville. ..I still have a great affinity for the NYC and love to attend musicals when I am able. ..After graduating from Col-Hi I attended Oklahoma Central University in 1964 and earned a B.A. degree and then again in 1975 earning a M.A. degree. ..Before I graduated I spent a year in Salzburg, Austria studying music.

I was married in 1965 to Raymond Walker of Edmond, OK, who passed away in 2001. We moved and I taught music in Davis, Edmond, Guthrie, Watonga and finally Bartlesville. ..I retired from Bartlesville School System in 2004 after 34 years of teaching music. I. have raised 2 beautiful daughters, Pat and Raylene, who are now raising my 8 beautiful grandchildren for me. ..Pat lives in Bartlesville and Raylene lives in Broken Arrow. I have been having a ball traveling and babysitting for those grandchildren. ..I still feel like a kid!!

My favorite teacher was: Mrs. Sunday in the first grade at McKinley Grade School, Mr. Bourquin at Central and Mr. Morningwig at Col-Hi. ..The teacher I feared the most was: Ms. Fannie Spencer at Central.

Something I did since high school that no one would believe: I was in the "Sound of Music" in Austria playing a num, singing with other nuns (for $10).

The goal I have yet to accomplish: Organize my belongings!! ..

Something I did in high school that I wouldn't want my parents to know: I skipped school one afternoon!!

Tell a funny story about a classmate and yourself: I am sure it involved Jane Fleetwood, but it was too long ago.

Life's little twists: My husband developed MS after my second girl was born and I took care of him for 31 years.

Which classmate(s) do you hope show up for the reunion: Jane Fleetwood and Sandy Curtis.
