Memorial services were held at 4 PM on June 3, 2002 in the First Presbyterian Church with Mr. Ed Kelley officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.

Mr. Coad was born May 26, 1942 at Oswego, KS to Alfred Harris and Esther Louise (Gore) Coad. He received his early education in Oswego, KS moving to Bartlesville, OK at an early age and completing his education here, graduating in 1960. Mr. Coad attended OU where he received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 1964. Steve was employed in Tulsa at Southwest Computing for many years and was employed with World Com Communications at the time of his death. Mr. Coad was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville. He is the grandson of the late Lela and Art Gore and Alfred and May Coad.

Survivors include one sister Kathy Lohrey; and one brother-in-law Bill Lohrey of Tullsa, one nephew, W. Grant Lohrey of Tulsa and one niece Sarah E Lohrey of Stillwater, OK
