John and I married in 1963 in Bartlesville. We moved to El Dorado, AR in 1965. We adopted our two children while we were there. Jeff is 42 and Jennifer is 40. We then moved to Memphis, TN in 1972. In late 1972 we moved to Texas as fast as we could. We are blessed with 4 grandchildren (two are twins, boy and girl). Our children live close by, which is wonderful. I have been a licensed minister in our church for 12 years, performing numerous weddings and a few funerals. I had the honor of remarrying my daughter and her husband on August 29 of this year (2010) after 8 years of divorce.
"Have RV and will Travel" is the phrase we have been using for the past 10 years. Grandchildren love it: they use it like a playhouse.
I will miss seeing Nancy, Patty and Bill Davis. They were special friends along with Natalie Elmer. My favorite teachers: I loved Miss Newkirk for French and Mr. Burton and was terrified of Miss Ingham.
What I have learned in life: It's not the silver and gold or accomplishments. It's about relationships -starting with my relationship with God. Life has been so good to us and I have very few regrets.
