Ann worked at Sears Roebuck in Tulsa for many years.

Ann and Ben's marriage was a happy one until long after their children had left home. But after Ben retired he asked for a divorce, and Ann was deeply wounded by the event. She once said she had married him forever and in her mind she would always be married to him, the divorce would not change that! She proved that later when Ben was sick with cancer and Ann paid for all his medical bills.

Ben died in Tulsa, from complications with his cancer treatments in1984.

Ann moved to Murphys, California to be close to Sam and Ben and their wives and died February 14, 2006 at 100 years of age. Ann outlived all of her brothers and sisters, and lived more years than any of the Platt offspring.
